The Grind/Legal
Delete your data
Effective 13 August 2026 Last updated 15 August 2026
The Grind does not have accounts and does not run servers. There is no registration, no profile of you on our side, and nothing for us to hold. What follows is the complete list of places data connected to the game can exist, and how to erase each one.
The short version
- Never signed in? Then nothing about you has ever left your phone. Uninstalling the game deletes everything.
- Signed in to Google Play Games? One menu item in the game deletes what the platform holds for it.
- Want it gone without opening the game? Your Google account settings can delete it, independently of us.
1. From inside the game
Open Settings - the gear, reachable from every screen - and choose "Delete from cloud". It is there while you are signed in, and asks for a second tap to confirm, because it cannot be undone. It deletes the backup copy of your save from your Google Drive and disconnects the game from your account on that device. Your progress on the device is kept, so you can carry on playing offline - only the cloud copy goes.
It does not touch your achievements or your leaderboard entries, and we will not pretend otherwise: those are held by Google, and Play Games Services gives a developer no way to delete them. Route 3 below removes them, from your own account, whether or not the game is still installed. It is one screen away and it is the complete answer.
2. On your device
Uninstalling the game, or choosing New game in the main menu, erases the local save: progress, statistics, confirmed reads, achievements and settings. Unless you signed in, this is the only copy of that data that has ever existed. If you did sign in, there is also a backup in your own Google Drive, and route 1 or route 3 is what removes it - uninstalling alone leaves it there, which is the whole point of a backup.
3. With Google, without us
Data held by Google Play Games can be deleted from your own Google account, per game or in full, at your Play Games profile or in Google Account settings. This route does not involve us at all and does not require the game to be installed.
4. By asking us
Write to hello@hard2play.com with the subject "Delete my data". We answer within 30 days. Be aware of what we can honestly promise: we hold no database of players, so in practice our answer is to tell you which of the three routes above applies to your case, and to help you through it. We cannot reach into your device or your Google account on your behalf.
5. What is never collected in the first place
The game contains no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK, no crash reporting and no third-party tracking. It does not read your location, contacts, photos, files, microphone, camera, calendar or messages. Your purchase is processed by Google Play; we never see or store payment details.
